Well, our Friday just got a whole lot better. Credit that to Blu, who’s streaming his Good to Be Home album before it releases Tuesday, May 20 through Nature Sounds.

LA Weekly premiered the stream for our collective listening pleasure. Blu offers 20 new tracks that he split down the line onto double discs. But in the end, all of the music is in the spirit of his native Los Angeles. The LP explores the good, the bad, and the ugly aspects of life in the sunny streets of southern California. Songs like “West” and “The Return” served as proper representations of what to expect from Blu this time around, but they were only the tip of the iceberg.

Producer Bombay manned all of the production, which ranges from atmospheric tunes to thumping boom-bap instrumentals. Guest MCs include Casey Veggies, Prodigy, Fashawn, Planet Asia, Krondon, Like and BeYoung from Pac Div, Coss and more.
