GS9 were active at ALIFE’s location in the Low East Side of New York City last night (August 11). Get familiar with the clique, the East Flatbush, Brooklyn collective that houses virally popular rapper Bobby Shmurda.

The event was the latest iteration of the ALIFE Sessions concert series, which takes place in the store’s backyard. Packed to capacity, fans watched as Shmurda invaded the very same space that Scarface and Living Colour blazed a week earlier. The young King’s County rapper was joined by his Epic Records label mate, Yo Gotti, who also took the stage.

Through it all, it was Shmurda’s breakout hit, “Hot Ni**a,” that had the greatest crowd reaction. But then again, that’s to be expected, especially in NYC. GS9 would go on to perform other noteworthy cuts, including Rowdy Rebel’s “Computers” and “Schmoney Dance.”
