A 31-year-old homeless man apparently reached his breaking point and was arrested for allegedly choking and punching an innocent bystander.

Lionel Pope was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing, resisting arrest and assault Sunday, September 14 at the Lexington Ave. and 59th St. subway station.

The NYDailyNews learned that a 22-year-old woman told police that Pope began to push straphangers before wrapping his hands around her neck while yelling “I’m going to kill you!”

Two people were sent to Bellevue Hospital as a result of his actions and when detained, Pope gave officers a home address of 400 E. 30th St., which is a Department of Homeless Services intake center.

Sounds like somebody wanted to move up to three hots and a cot.
