Wale discussed his next opus, The Album About Nothing, due to drop in December according to the rapper, during a phone interview with The Russ Parr Morning Show. But as the conversation progressed, the topic segued into the wordsmith’s current relationship with his MMG label mate Meek Mill.

Back in July, Meek attacked Wale during a vicious Twitter rant, during which he infamously said the DMV native wasn’t a true member of MMG. The “Ima Boss” spitter was arrested for a parole violation days later.

Wale, who handled the public spat with class, says the he and Meek are cool. Though the two haven’t spoken directly, Folarin says he’s cleared the air with his partner in rhyme through other people. “I actually did a song with his cousin, his best friend,” explained Wale, likely referencing Omelly. “And I even poked fun at Meek and me arguing on the record. It’s all good. I think he comes home in late September, so it’s all good on all sides.”

Hear Wale discuss his upcoming LP, Jerry Seinfeld’s role, Meek, Ross’ reaction to their public exchange and more below.
