UPDATE: Lupe Fiasco unveiled the artwork for his Lost In The Atlantic Ocean tape. See it after the jump.

Lupe Fiasco will drop a mixtape before his anticipated Tetsuo & Youth album hits the retailers. With reason, it will be titled Lost In The Atlantic Ocean.

The Chicago wordsmith relayed the announcement via an Instagram post that included a video snippet of a new track. The post was quickly deleted, but Fiasco fansite LupEND snagged the caption.

“ATLANTIC RECORDS won’t release the album until they get a ‘pop’ single…so putting together a mini-project while they find one for me,” the rapper wrote. “It’s called ‘Lost In The Atlantic Ocean’ with a bunch of my friends to stay active and happy…this a snippet called ‘Lilies’ feat Sirah produced by The Buchannons…finishing today…”

Back in August, Fiasco said Atlantic treated him like a third class citizen on The Tor Guide radio show. We’re sure the mixtape, which is partially created jest, won’t gain him anymore friends at the label, but any new music from the Chicago rapper is a plus.

Additionally, Fiasco previewed a song produced by longtime collaborator Soundtrakk and featuring Nikki Jean. Hear it below and stay tuned for new on Lost In The Atlantic Ocean.
