One of whom was LL Cool J, who accused the Brooklyn MC of not giving artists a proper push. “I think Def Jam needs to be a better promoter of hip-hop,” said the rapper, according to New York Daily News. “I think Jay-Z does a very good job … of promoting Jay-Z.”
