Pharrell Williams has yet another new gig on his resume. The prolific artist, producer and designer is the newest member of the Apollo Theater’s board of directors.
Reports the New York Post:
The iconic Harlem entertainment venue welcomed the “Happy” singer and music mogul to the 32-member board along with five others Tuesday.
“Pharrell represents the DNA of the Apollo board,” said Jonelle Procope, the theater’s president. “If the Apollo were an artist it would be Pharrell.”
Pharrell, who performed at the fame venue in June, can currently be seen as one of the judges on reality TV talent show The Voice while his design tastes are currently being utilized by adidas.
The iconic Apollo Theater in Harlem first opened its doors in 1934 on 125th street.
