On Sunday, Nov. 9, MTV celebrated 20 years of the Europe Music Awards in Glasgow, Scotland, hosted by none other than Nicki Minaj.
Serving as both mistress of ceremonies and a performer, The Barbz gave fans something more than just to look at, she gave them something to listen to as well.
Somewhere in the middle of her vivacious medley that included hits “Super Bass” and “Anaconda,” the Jamaica, Queens rapper debuted a new song called “Bed Of Lies,” featuring Skylar Grey. Her opening verse from the emotional track immediately set speculations into orbit for those attentively lending an ear.
Is “Bed Of Lies” about her ex-boyfriend, Safaree? If so, Onika minced no words. Read the lyrics below, see her live set in the clip after the jump. Then hit the gallery to see more of her array of getups during the musical fête.
You could never make eye contact
Everything you got was based off of my contacts
You a fraud, but I’ma remain icon-stat
Balenciaga’s on my boots with the python strap
You was caught up in the rush, and you was caught up in the thrill of it
You was with me way before I hit a quarter mil’ in it
Put you in the crib and you never pay a bill in it
I was killin’ it, man you got me poppin’ pills in it
I told Baby hit you, I said this dude buggin’
Cause I was doing it for us, I told ’em fuck the public
Couldn’t believe that I was home alone contemplating
Overdosin’, all the postin’, no more toastin’ over oceans
They say you don’t know what you got ’til it’s gone
They say that your darkest hour comes before your dawn
But there was something I should’ve asked all along
I’ma ask on the song
