Halle Berry has been embroiled in a nasty series of court disputes with ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry and father of her daughter, Nahla. The most recent court visit was allegedly over Aubry trying to make their 6-year-old appear a little less ethnic.

TMZ got the jump on a story that Berry was angry that Aubry tried to straighten out Nahla’s curly hair and adding color to it to make her appear more white. The event took place Monday, but Berry was not present in the courtroom during the proceedings.

TMZ writes:

Halle was furious Gabriel was straightening Nahla’s naturally-curly hair, lightening it with highlights and she is convinced it’s because he does not want the girl to appear to be African American.

Halle didn’t show in court Monday morning, but her lawyer Steve Kolodny did, along with Gabriel and after a lot of arguing the judge ruled NEITHER Halle nor Gabriel could change Nahla’s look from its natural state.

So the judge is allowing Nahla’s hair to grow back naturally.

Since their breakup in 2010 Berry and Aubry have reached a level of joint custody of their daughter, but not without a lot of dirty laundry being aired. Berry currently pays child support to Aubry, who once claimed he  had trouble finding modeling gigs after Berry’s then-fiance Oliver Martinez reportedly served the fade to him in 2012. Berry and Martinez wed in 2013. The couple have one son, Maceo.

According to records, Aubry was hauling in a whopping $16,000 per month. Berry has been fighting the support claim, saying that Aubry is relying on the payments so that he can avoid returning to work. Aubry was one of the top male models of the world before his alleged loafing lifestyle of late, with a once-reported net worth of $4.5 million. Pretty sure he doesn’t need the support, but what do we know?
