The brothers Rae Sremmurd will gladly split this year’s Rookie of the Year honors and come next month; next year, they’re poised to keep the buzz going strong with the release of their debut album, SremmLife.

The “No Flex Zone” duo consisting of Swae Lee and Slim Jimmy will be the first-ever act to release on Mike WiLL Made It’s Ear Drummer Records/Interscope Records imprint. The heavyweight producer–who’s scored hits from countless who’s who’s of the game–expressed his excitement over their potential to carve out a legacy this early in their career.

“It’s dope to see these guys work hard and stay humble, to come from nothing and become a part of the Ear Drummer movement – our family – working sun up to sun down, recording, coming up with new ideas,” he said. “The impact is so strong now. It’s amazing to see ‘No Flex Zone’ and ‘No Type,’ two songs that we did last year, become two of the biggest singles this year, to have the cultural impact that they’re having.

When it boiled down to keeping up with their status quo of being automatic party starters, Mike WiLL says the pressure was basically nonexistent.

“The album came together so easily and organically – it was really a fun album to make. I’m just as excited about this album as I was about Miley Cyrus’s album, as I was about Future’s album,” he continued. “This album is as special to me as any project I’ve ever been involved with. People are learning now that these guys are superstars, they’re here to stay. SremmLife is just round one.”

Rae Sremmurd recently stole the show on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, performing the aforementioned turn-up “No Flex Zone” as well as their new joint, “No Type.”

SremmLife is now scheduled to be released on January 6, 2015 with the pre-orders to begin next Tuesday, December 9.

Hit the flip for their King of Rock-like album cover.
