Super Bowl XLIX was another must-watch event, as the New England Patriots pulled out a 28-24 win over the Seattle Seahawks. Billed as the highest television ratings in history, the most depressing thing besides the latter team’s play calling were the commercials that played throughout the game.
Everyone’s big game high was squashed every time the game faded to black. From Nationwide to the game itself, it was a bit let down. During halftime, Katy Perry was ethered by the Internets way before Jermaine Kearse’s incredible catch. Noticing that her fiery outfit wasn’t as original as she probably thought it was, trolls and jokesters all likened it to Will Ferrell’s Blades of Glory costume and Flamin’ Hot Cheetos.
For what it was worth, the game was a mix of brilliant performances, jaw-dropping moments, and a moment you’ll talk about for years to come.
