Former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick is continuing to make headlines even as he’s incarcerated in a state prison.

The embattled former official has been indicted on 19 counts of federal fraud and tax charges for using money from his charity for personal use.

Prosecutors say his Kilpatrick Civic Fund was supposed to be used to for voter education but instead say he took cash from the organization for himself, his family and friends.

Additionally they claim that Kilpatrick evaded taxes and failed to report at least $640,000 in taxable income linked to flights on private jets and personal expenses including yoga classes, golf lessons and “counter-surveillance and anti-bugging equipment.”

In May he was sentenced to up to five years in prison for violating probation after he was convicted of lying under oath about an affair with his chief of staff.
