William Page, a man had been charged with sexually assaulting and then abandoning his child in the frozen woods, will finally answer for his crime as he was sentenced Tuesday.

“If you’re going to give me the maximum, give me the maximum. It won’t hurt me mentally — I’m too strong for it. So, if that’s what you all are going to do, do it. OK?” Page told Common Pleas Judge David Cashman.

The actual case is sickening as reports state that Page became angry that his child, Nyia Page, kept taking off her diaper and as punishment he decided to rape her.  After, he brought the child to the woods of Rankin, Pennsylvania and left her to suffer even more in 7-degree weather.

Initially, Page stated that the child was kidnapped, then admitted to the murder, but recanted after.

He was convicted him on a load of felonies in March, but they deadlocked on the death penalty after Page’s lawyer argued that his client suffers from autism.

In the ultimate show of arrogance, Page interrupted the judge as he was receiving his punishment.

“Listen, idiot,” he told the judge, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. “I didn’t kill anybody. Give me the time so I can go, all right?”

Such an outburst only made matters worse as Page was sentenced life. Trying to ensure that he would never see parole, the judge also hit him with consecutive sentences of 10 to 20 years for kidnapping, 10 to 20 years for aggravated sexual assault and 1 to 2 years for making a false report.

After the sentencing, Judge Cashman responded to being called an “idiot”.

“Let me tell you,” he told the Post-Gazette, pointing to himself. “This idiot’s going home at 5 o’clock tonight. That idiot isn’t.”
