T.I. has a great relationship with both Lil Wayne and Young Thug, and a proven history of mediating rap beefs. That said, it was only natural for DJ Whoo Kid to ask his stance on their beef during a recent interview.
The Hustle Gang founder took a break while vacationing with his family to call into The Whoolywood Shuffle.
“I asked Thugga myself,” said T.I., expressing how surprised he was to hear Thug title the mixtape Carter 6.
“I said, ‘Hey brother, what you doing?’ What’s going on? He basically responded. He said, ‘Everybody’s making it a whole lot more…I’m doing it to pay homage. That’s my favorite rapper.'”
But when Whoo Kid mentioned Thugga saying, “he’s gonna get in Lil Wayne’s a$$,” T.I. said he’s not getting involved.
Thug has since re-titled the project Barter 6. Hear the interview below.
