The New York Jets are in shambles, and the NFL season hasn’t even started yet. Starting QB Geno Smith got sucker punched in the locker room this morning (August 11), and will be out six o 10 weeks.
It was second year player IK Enemkpali who delivered the fade and caused Smith, who is represented by Roc Nation Sports, to suffer a broken jaw.
ESPN reports the Smith suffered two fractures and will be undergoing surgery.
Don’t bank on Enemkpali making the team, in fact, he was released right after the incident.
Smith posted a message on Instagram: “I’ll be back.”
This story is developing. And please, no fade route jokes, just yet.
