Amerie Changes Her Name
Amerie is the latest artist to undergo a name change.
The Grammy nominated singer is changing her name to “reflect more positive energy” and will no longer just go by Amerie.
Instead she’d like to be addressed as Ameriie—Amerie with an extra “I“.
She made the announcement to Rap-Up before taking to her Twitter page to say,
“New twitter name @ItsAmeriie.”
The singer is also working on her next album Cymatika Vol. 1.
What does an extra “I” have to do with positivity? We wish her the best of luck with her new name.
