The town of Charlton, Mass. is under alert after, get this, a roving pack of battle rappers have reportedly challenged residents to an all-out vicious rap duel right in the middle of the mean New England streets. Considered one of the safest cities in the state and across the country, Charlton officials are asking citizens to step up and take out these rapping bandits.

Local news outlet WCVB reported on the recent events, which took place last Saturday while the three of the little homies kicked in town during the afternoon. Police say that a Black SUV filled with a group men appearing to be in their late teens and early 20s frightened the trio after challenging them to flex their skills on the corner.

WCVB reports:

Police in central Massachusetts are warning residents to be on the lookout for men who may be challenging passersby to a rap battle.

Charlton police said a black SUV with two or three men in their late teens or early 20s inside, pulled up to three young teenage boys on Dresser Hill Road at about 3 p.m. on Saturday.

One of the men — described as having brown hair and a pale complexion, wearing a gray T-shirt, gray pants and open-toed sandals — got out of the vehicle and started rapping while the other men asked the boys if they wanted to “spit some bars” with them.

When the boys declined, the SUV drove off.

This is serious business, folks. So much, that Charlton Police took to Facebook to issue this stern warning:

On 3-12-2016 approximately 3:00 p.m. a black SUV with 2-3 male occupants, in their late teens/early 20s, pulled up to three young teenage boys on Dresser Hill Road.

One of the males, with brown hair and a pale complexion, wearing a gray T-shirt, gray pants and open-toed sandals, exited the vehicle and started rapping while the other occupants of the vehicle began asking they boys if they wanted to “spit some bars” (Rap lingo) with them. Boys declined, and the SUV drove off.

Although this was suspicious behavior and frightening to the boys, nothing made this appear to be an attempted abduction. With that being said, the Charlton Police are still conducting a follow-up investigation into this matter and would like for anyone with credible information surrounding this event to please call 508-248-2250

Someone, please get these rapping friends off the streets right now! Seriously, rap battles can turn dangerous from time to time.
