Rick Ross made a lot of unintentional noise during his trip to the White House, last week. Rozay’s ankle monitor went off while he and other Hip-Hop artists met with President Obama to discuss criminal justice reform.
The Bawse has to wear the device due to the kidnapping and assault case from last year. He’s allowed to travel for business.
According to TMZ, the ankle bracelet went off just as Obama finished his speech. Ross apparently didn’t react because the monitor is new, and therefore subsceptible to random beeping at any moment.
Obama commissioned Ross, Nicki Minaj, Pusha T, Ludacris, Chance the Rapper, and a casually dressed J. Cole, to the White House for a meeting on My Brother’s Keeper. The initiative is aimed at curbing incarceration rates by connecting young people of color with mentors and networks of support.
