The Marvel Cinematic Universe is on an epic winning streak, and it isn’t trying to let its foot off the gas. Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong’o is reportedly in talks to co-star in the forthcoming Black Panther standalone film.

The world got a taste of the sky high potential for the film after watching Chadwick Boseman superbly play the African superhero in Captain America: Civil War. T’Challa, is the king and guardian of a fictional country in Africa called Wakanda that thanks to its vibranium also boasts the most advanced technology on the planet. Meaning, he’s the sh*t.

According to the The Hollywood Reporter, Nyong’o is currently in talks to star opposite Boseman as Black Panther’s love interest.

Ryan Coogler, who resuscitated the Rocky franchise by writing and directing the renowned Creed, is on board as the film’s director.

Panther is due in theaters February 2, 2018 and is scheduled to begin shooting in early 2017. We highly suggest Marvel move that timetable up a notch.
