What a day for music. From Chance The Rapper’s gospel-inspired Coloring Book to ScHoolboy Q’s new Kanye West-assisted single to Post Malone’s August 26 mixtape, the Internets have been spoiled with new material for their earholes.
Added to that pool of audible gems is a track from the incomparable Erykah Badu, who delivers a cover of PARTYNEXTDOOR’s “Come And See Me.” The Dallas songbird’s voice sounds right at home over the euphoric production, as she paints a picture of an attempted rendezvous with a lover from across town.
Speaking of Chance, producer Nascent debuts a song of his that didn’t make Coloring Book titled “Grown Ass Kid,” featuring Mick Jenkins and Alex Wiley. To see this ridiculously fire tune be omitted from project’s tracklist speaks to how stellar a body of work the final product is.
