Zaytoven, Sonny Digital and Metro Boomin, the holy trinity of Atlanta’s “trap” sound came together to sit down and talk about their music and careers with Red Bull Music Academy.

The trio of prolific producers came together to chat with music writer Andrew Nosnitsky [aka Noz from CocaineBlunts.com] about their friendship inside and outside of the studio. A range of events are discussed here ranging from how it took Zaytoven just five minutes to make the “So Icy” beat for Gucci Mane and how Young Jeezy didn’t like the beat at first to how that song was perhaps the first rap song to ever use autotune. We also hear Sonny Digital talk about how he and Future initially worked exclusively through email and not in the studio. Metro Boomin also talks about being inspired by his St. Louis hometown heroes Nelly, Murphy Lee, Chingy and J-Kwon.

Check out the talk below.
