Nick Cannon has put out a challenge to all rappers out there to battle him next month at the BET Experience. The catch? The opponent would have to match the mogul and entertainer by putting up $100,000.
Cannon took to Twitter last week to issue the challenge. As reported by the good folks at Hip Hop DX, Cannon’s challenge would be a traditional rap battle to take place during the weekend event that occurs during the 2016 BET Awards.
“Yo tell your favorite rapper I got a 100k to battle them June 25th at the BET EXPERIENCE! #WildStyle Who should I get? These rappers scared!” tweeted Cannon.
He added, “I’m gonna be honest with y’all, I’ve talked to a lot of your favorite rappers behind closed doors and they ALL SCARED! LOL 100k Rap Battle!”
In Cannon’s initial tweet, the “WildStyle” hashtag could be alluding to MTV’s comedy show, Wild ‘N Out, which he hosted for years and engaged in a number of rap battles. Although the battle hasn’t been named as an official portion of the 2016 BET Awards, this could end up being one of the can’t-miss moments of the weekend should it come to pass.
