Diddy, birth name Sean Combs, is entering his own bid to a purchase majority stake in longtime media property, BET.

R&B superstar and actress Mary J. Blige has entered into a partnership between her production company, Blue Butterfly Productions, and BET. The first project from that deal will be a new talk show, 'The Wine Down.'

BET is set to air a five-part documentary series on the rise of Murder Inc., the bombastic label founded by Irv Gotti which rose to fame through its artists such as Ja Rule and Ashanti. The series is executively produced by Gotti and Ja Rule and will air at an undisclosed time this summer.

This coming June, Los Angeles will play host to the anticipated awards program with a vaccinated-only live audience.

According to The Deadline, Tyler Perry Studios had a marathon two-month shoot of new installments of four Perry series.  The sitcom Bruh was the shortest, with only 19 episodes, wrapping up the season in just four days. The BET+ comedy, which started filming Sept. 3, finished today.

In the first episode, viewers were taken back on Wednesday night (Aug.12) to the time before the Ruff Ryders became the force in the Hip-Hop game we know them as now. We are introduced to South Bronx natives Joaquin "Waah" Dean and Darin "Dee" Dean and Chivon Dean. The episode details their young upbringing as the children of a devout Muslim father and mother.
