Here comes the bride all dressed in white? Bobby Brown opens up about his ex-wife’s drug use.

Bobby Brown is literally an open book these days. The R&B singer is out promoting his memoir Every Little Step and judging from the excerpts he’s released, it’s going to be a long walk.

Per People:

Brown says in his upcoming memoir Every Little Step that he first saw Houston doing drugs on their wedding day, prior to the ceremony.

The 47-year-old singer recounts the moment to in a candid interview with ABC News’ Robin Roberts on 20/20 – set to air tonight at 10 p.m..

In his book, Brown writes he broke tradition and peeked in on Houston prior to the ceremony, and was “shocked” to witness Houston “hunched over a bureau snorting a line of coke.”

Houston offered Brown a hit, he claims, but he didn’t indulge. Brown also writes his bride-to-be said she was indulging in the illegal drug because she was “nervous.”

“She wasn’t that,” an emotional Brown told Roberts. “The drugs wasn’t her. She did drugs but drugs didn’t do her. She knew how to handle herself. It only made me love and want to protect her more.”

Brown’s account refutes previous claims that it was Brown who led Houston to heavy drug use.

“It wasn’t me who started her,” Brown says. “I take my part and I take it hard for me even being a part of it, but we all have our own minds and some of us are stronger than others.”

Brown has long said that he wasn’t the one that got Houston into heavy drug use. Houston’s close friends have even supported Brown in his statements, going as far as to infer that he wasn’t making cocaine type money yet when they met.

You can watch the entire interview on ABC’s 20/20 Tuesday night at 10 p.m.
