Cocky much? Klay Thompson‘s sneaker endorser Anta is predicting the NBA Finals for you. They just put out images of a “Back To Back” version of their KT1 shoes.
While the Golden State Warriors have been favored to win the 2016 NBA Championship since the start of the season, they haven’t won it yet. But that’s not stopping Chinese sneaker maker Anta from thinking ahead.
Today they gave the world a look at the new “Back To Back” KT1 sneaker that features the words “back to back” on the toe with the Larry O’Brien championship trophy on the tongue.
Thompson has already worn a pair of the shoes on court during the series, but not these with the championship-predicting designs. The Warriors are still up 3-2 in their series against the LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and the Cleveland Cavaliers but it doesn’t look like thing are getting any easier for them. The Cavs are playing with a new found confidence headed into Game 6 in Cleveland and the Warriors just lost their center Andrew Bogut to a leg injury for the rest of the Finals.
Thompson better hope these things are a good luck charm or else they will go down in infamy alongside his teammate Steph Curry’s Under Armor Curry 2 Lows that got roasted on Twitter.
In the event that the Warriors do win the NBA Championship for the second year in a row, Anta will only be making 300 pairs that will be sold exclusively in China, so good luck with that.
Game 6 of the NBA Finals airs tonight at 9 p.m. on ABC.
