Katt Willams made a public appearance sans any signs of trouble when he surprised guests at the BET Culture Creators Brunch over the weekend. Held during the 2016 BET Awards celebrations, the comedian accepted an honor on behalf of the legendary Andre Harrell with hilarious results.
The BET Culture Creators Brunch, founded by Senior Vice President of Marketing and Brand Partnerships, Joi Pitts, hosted over 200 guests at Mr. C in Beverly Hills. Entertainment figures such as DJ Drama, Estelle, Bevy Smith, Laz Alonso and others were in attendance at the lavish event sponsored by Seagram’s Gin and REVOLT. The BET Culture Creators Brunch honors key industry leaders and innovators across several fields.
Harrell, who created Uptown Records and gave Sean “P. Diddy” Combs his first big break en route to moguldom, serves as the Vice Chairman of Combs’ REVOLT venture. Williams gracefully accepted the award for Harrell, but only as he can and the entire affair was caught on video.
