The racial inequality divide that’s currently the topic of the day in the United States continued to reveal peoples true colors earlier this week. A white Pennsylvania cop had a message for her followers on Snapchat: “I’m the law today ni**a.”

Part-time police officer Melissa Adamson has since been fired for her inflammatory statement but not before it had been shared hundreds of times and ultimately being put on blast by Black Pittsburgh’s Facebook page.

The Pitcairn Police Department took to their own Facebook page and released a statement on the rookie officer’s unwarranted memo to Black America:

There has been a picture circulating around of an ex female employee of the Pitcairn Police Department. As the picture alone does not constitute misconduct, it is symbolic speech and protected under the first amendment. However,it is the content of the text in the picture which is unacceptable. The Pitcairn Police Department holds high integrity for the community we serve and this type of conduct will not be tolerated.

Adamson went on Pittsburgh’s Action 4 News to apologize for her idiotic post saying, “I’m sorry for who I did offend. It was not my intentions. I can’t express how sorry I am for how I made you feel – how I made you feel emotionally, physically or whatnot. Again, it wasn’t my intentions.”

With all the civil unrest that the Black community is experiencing in the wake of so many police related killings it’s hard to feel sorry for the Caucasian officer who also worked part time as at the Versailles police department. She has since resigned from that job as well.
