Vince Staples was invited up to Hot 97’s studio to drop a freestyle for Funkmaster Flex and he did not disappoint.
Staples has gone on record saying that he feels 90’s Hip-Hop is “overrated,” but he had no problem hopping on Raekwon‘s classic “Ice Cream” instrumental and going off.
The “Prima Donna” rapper got the most out of his three minutes and some change by speaking on everything from his desire to have his next girlfriend look like M.I.A. to outlining what he wants people to do should he be the next Black man shot down by police.

“If my black life matter / Motherf*cker stop killing / If my black life matter / Motherf*cker stop snitching / If my black life matter / Motherf*cker start a business in your hood / Instead of letting f*cking Starbucks in it / If my black life matter / Then respect our women / If my black life matter / Don’t neglect our children / If my black life matter / If the police taking my shit with a pistol / Don’t march, go kill them.”
Staples stayed in the zone throughout the video. He never looked up into the camera and you could see veins popping out of his head. Very intense.
