This past weekend Eric B and Rakim hit the Hip-Hop community with a social-political November surprise when the @EricBandRakim Twitter account tweeted an endorsement for Cheeto Jesus himself, Donald Trump.

But the scare is officially over. Rakim Allah’s manager, Matthew Kemp has told Okayplayer that the Hip-Hop legend ” has no connection with, interest in nor makes contributions to ANY social media accounts with the exception of his verified Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/rakimallah/) and a rarely used Twitter account (https://twitter.com/rakimgodmc) nor do any speak for him.”

The tweet in question was eventually taken down and Eric B later officially threw his support behind Hillary Clinton for President Of The United States.

Well, that’s a huge relief. Now we wonder what will become of the joker who put the legendary Hip-Hop duo’s Twitter account in such peril this past weekend?

21 gun salute? We kid, we kid.
