Hate language and symbolism spotted at New York City park named after deceased Beastie Boys member Adam Yauch.
Two weeks into the Trump presidency and we officially have the first attack on something directly related to Hip-Hop. Photos have emerged of two swastikas and “Go Trump” spraypainted on a monkey bars fixture at Adam Yauch Park in Brooklyn Heights.
Yauch, widely known as “MCA” was Jewish. He died in 2012 after a fight with cancer. The park was named after him in 2013. This disgusting attack comes just days after the Beastie Boys celebrated the 30th anniversary of their breakthrough album Licensed To Ill.
Beastie Boy Mike D has responded by joining an effort to denounce hate and hate language with a group of local politicians at the park on Sunday afternoon.
