Shaquille O’Neal knows what it’s like to win and lose. That’s why he’s insisting that angry Americans give President-elect Donald Trump “a chance.”

NBA player-turned-rapper-turned-cop Shaquille O’Neal has joined the “give Trump a chance” bandwagon.

Shaq was visiting Washington, D.C. to support Responsibility.org in police efforts to cut down on distracted driving because you know, that’s just what the world needs, more police pulling more people over.

In a brief Q&A session, Shaq was asked to give his thoughts on the 2016 Presidential election results which had much of America depressed, angry or scared for the rest of November. While some have insisted that we deal with reality and accept that Trump will be the next President, some are urging the Hillary Clinton and the Democrat do something, anything, to ask for a recount or find some loophole to prevent this.

Shaq managed to say what a lot of Americans are thinking and dreading at the same time. Which is, we are ready for this to finally be over with, but we are still hoping it doesn’t happen.

Shaq says:
“We have a process that’s been going on forever and whoever wins, you just hope he does what he says he’s going to do. You know, candidate Trump promised a lot of people a lot of things. Now that he’s president-elect, you just hope that he can make the world a better place. He won fair and square. We have to give him a chance. There’s no need talking about recounts and this and that.”
Do you trust Shaq’s advice? After all, this is the same guy who believes “showing respect” will keep you from getting shot by the police, assuming they are automatically entitled to “respect” in the first place.
“Give Trump a chance” seems to be growing into a new post-election slogan. Everyone from Dave Chappelle to Bob Johnson has said it. Are you open to it?
