Lupe Fiasco has retired from rap yet again after backlash for lyrics that some have labeled anti-semitic.

Lupe Fiasco has announced that he will not be releasing what were supposed to be the final three albums of his career and will be retiring from rapping immediately. The decision comes after his latest track “N.E.R.D.” was met with some backlash over lyrics discussing Jewish people.

The lyrics in question are:

“Artists getting robbed for their publishing / By dirty Jewish execs who think it’s alms from the covenant”

The lyrics were called anti-Semitic by DJ Booth writer Z. Lupe responded to the article on Twitter saying “f*ck outta here” among other things.

Then at some point, Lupe was notified that Sonudcloud took the song down. The song is still up, but he voiced his frustrations nonetheless.

Will you miss him?

The announcement means that the three albums he planned on releasing, DROGAS, DROGAS light, and SKULLS will not be coming out. But, disappointed fans can at least rely on this not being the first time Lupe has threatened. He’s done this twice before and as recently as last year.
