Hulu television is re-making the 70’s cult and Blaxploitation classic Foxy Brown, and Meagan Good is in line to play the iconic character.

Originally played by the legendary Pam Grier, Foxy Brown debuted in 1974 and took the culture by storm while turning Ms. Grier into not only a sex symbol, but a representation of a powerful Black woman in charge of her cipher.

According to theGrio, now that Hulu is looking to reboot the film about “a whole lot of woman” into a series, the co-executive producer of Empire, Malcolm Spelling, and the creator of Hand of God, Ben Watkins, have hopped on to pen the upcoming TV series for a new generation.

Aside from starring in the project, Good will also produce the series alongside her husband, DeVon Franklin, who will serve as executive producer for Franklin Entertainment.

Too bad this isn’t a Netflix project as a Foxy Brown and Luke Cage crossover would’ve been all kinds of amazing.

Do you think Meagan Good is the right choice to fill Pam Grier’s shoes? Sound off below and let us know who you think should’ve gotten the gig if not Mrs. Good.
