Trump may be taking Obama’s office, but he won’t be taking his followers.
With many people vowing to unfollow the Presidential Twitter account the moment Donald Trump is sworn in, some have been keeping a watchful eye on the transition. Here’s what we know so far.
Barack Obama will still be on Twitter, but now as @POTUS44 and he’s taking his followers with him. Trump will take on the @POTUS account and it appears that his @realDonaldTrump account will remain active as well.
We also noticed that Trump will essentially have to start from scratch because as soon as he was sworn in, the @POTUS follower count plummetted.
As of the time we published his post, the new Trump @POTUS account was barely above 3 million followers, meaning that he lost 10 million just like that. We’re sure the number will continue to climb in the the coming days. But this goes to show you just how much of America is not f*cking with Trump right now.
