Lupe Fiasco beat everybody to the punch and wrote his own review on his latest album Drogas Light.

It doesn’t sound like he’s impressed with it either. While many of his fans have already called it some of his least inspired work, Lupe confirms their suspicions by admitting that most of the album is comprised of old ideas. Worst of all, he says that it is a “refinement of Lasers,” his oft-delayed and universally panned 2011 album.

Lupe calls Drogas Light a “mixed bag” that comes on the heels of his 2015 “masterpiece” Tetsuo & Youth. He also explains that the album was titled Drogas Light because it was supposed to feel “light” in comparison to the dense lyrics and concepts he’s been known for. He says that the follow-up, Drogas, will be the complete opposite.

Overall, he gave the album 7 out of 10 stars.
