Michael Jordan made a big announcement during tonight’s North Carolina vs. Duke basketball game. At halftime, Air Jordan announced that his Jordan Brand will be outfitting UNC’s football team with its uniforms, iapparel and shoes.
“I come back as a business man to say I’m happy to extend the Jordan Brand relationship not only for the game of basketball but for the game of football,” said Jordan to raucous applause at the Dean Smith Center.
Jordan added, “I’m a diehard Carolina fan no matter what sport is being played with UNC on its chest.”
North Carolina joins Michigan as the sole college football teams sponsored by Jordan Brand, so far.
