Osama bin-Laden’s deputy released a video message Monday offering a truce with the U.S. and Europe but, of course, slammed Obama labeling him “the new face of the same old crimes.”

The video was posted on an Islamic militant web-site by Al Qaida’s second in command, Ayman al-Zawahri, who ridiculed President Obama over the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and the U.S. approach to the Israeli-Palestinian territory conflict.

According to the Associated Press, despite the grim conditions in the Middle East, al-Zawarhi said a “fair” truce offered by bin-Laden are still negotiable.

In 2004, bin-Laden extended peace offerings to European countries that do not attack Muslims. Two years later, he offered the United States “long-term truce” without particular conditions. In the same breath, in that same audio recording he also warned that his fighters were preparing new attacks in the United States.

“These offers were dealt with impolitely but are still valid, and the offer is fair,” al-Zawahri said. “But they (Americans) want a relationship with us based on suppression.”

“Obama is like a wolf whose fangs tear your flesh and whose paws slit your face and then he calls on you to talk about peace,” he said.

Al-Zawahri has been harsh in his critiques of Obama since his election, even releasing a video message referring to him as a “house negro.”

In the message released on August 3, al-Zawahri believes Obama is trying to mislead the Muslim world to better its relationship with Israel out of fear of the wrath of terroristic catastrophes on U.S. soil.

“We are not idiots to accept meaningless flexible words. Obama is the new face with the same old crimes,” he said.

P.J. Crowley, the U.S. State Department spokesman said Monday he believes the U.S. has “turned a tide” in the battle against extremist.

“This is not a struggle that al-Qaida is destined to win,” Crowley said. “As to a truce, I have no further comment.”
