You keep buying tickets to Transformers movies so Hasbro is going to keep on making them.

The fifth live-action Transformers movie The Last Knight is hitting theaters on June 25. It has been reported that this will be the final one directed by Bay, but that doesn’t mean that it will be the last one ever. The pyromania-creating director says there are at least 14 more Transformer movie ideas that have been written with one already on the way.

Los Angeles Times writes:

The glut of ideas is a result of the Marvel-inspired writers room assembled by Hasbro and Paramount Pictures in 2015 to develop ideas for future installments and spinoffs, under the guidance of Oscar winner Akiva Goldsman. The first of these, a younger-skewing “Bumblebee” solo film, will be directed by “Kubo and the Two Strings'” Travis Knight.

Depending on who you ask, the Transformer movie franchise’s batting average isn’t the greatest, but enough people obviously like it to make it a multi-billion dollar entity. Are you going to be waiting in line for the potential 14 sequels on the way?
