Mississippi cops now are officially getting the side-eye. After initially denying Lil Boosie‘s claims that they were holding $1M worth of his jewelry, they’ve changed their story.

Reports Page Six:

After initially denying it, a Mississippi police department now says a rapper’s jewelry was impounded and will be returned.

Biloxi Police Lt. Christopher De Back says Boosie Badazz’s jewelry was impounded Sunday when officers arrested five members of the rapper’s entourage for assault.

In a Tuesday video, the rapper formerly known as Lil Boosie accused police of improperly taking the items. De Back had said Tuesday that police recovered no jewelry, but he now says it was held in safekeeping. A van is being returned too.

So…the cops lied.

On Sunday while shopping in a Mississippi mall, an altercation began that spiraled out of control when Boosie’s entourage got pepper sprayed. Three men and two juveniles were arrested and charged with assault, but Boosie was not involved.

Considering the shadiness, we’re going to ride with Boosie’s side of the story, which includes getting pepper sprayed multiple times despite trying to leave the mall.

In this clip, Boosie calls out the cops for snatching his van, and jewels.

Peep Boosie talk about how only after three days, and involving his lawyers, was his jewelry “found,” on flip.
