Despite staring down a murder charge that may leave him facing the death penalty, Torrence “Lil Boosie” Hatch is set to release a new album.
As previously reported the Louisiana rapper was charged with first degree murder for his reported role in the slaying of Terry Boyd.
Prosecutors say Boosie and two other men killed Boyd when they fired shots into his Louisiana home before being found in possession of codeine, ecstasy and marijuana.
If convicted, all three are eligible for the death penalty.
Boosie was already incarcerated at Dixon Correctional Institute for probation violation before being indicted for murder.
Despite the looming charge, Boosie’s label home of Asylum Records is planning to release new music previously unheard from the rapper.
His new album Incarcerated is said to feature Foxx, Webbie and Lil Trill with production from Mouse On Tha Track and B.J.
