Miley Cyrus is copping pleas after she basically took a dump on Hip-Hop when she was done sucking the culture dry for some record sales. The elite level culture vulture took to Instagram to walk back her comments—even saying she is now “gravitating more towards uplifting, conscious rap.

Yeah, okay.

To bring you to speed, in a recent interview, Billy Ray’s daughter who used to run with Mike Will Made It said she was cool on Hip-Hop now.

“‘Show me somethin’ natural like ass with some stretch marks’,” she told Billboard, quoting Kendrick Lamar’s “Humble.” “I love that because it’s not ‘Come sit on my d*ck, suck on my cock.’ I can’t listen to that anymore. That’s what pushed me out of the hip-hop scene a little. It was too much ‘Lamborghini, got my Rolex, got a girl on my cock” — I am so not that.’”

As for the Instagram post, at the crux of her quasi-mea culpa was the ol’ “I was taken out of context” jig. “Unfortunately only a portion of that interview makes it to print, & A lot of the time publications like to focus on the most sensationalized part of the conversation,” she wrote.

Right.

She added, “I have always and will continue to love and celebrate hip hop as I’ve collaborated with some of the very best! At this point in my life I am expanding personally/musically and gravitating more towards uplifting, conscious rap!”

If she always loved and celebrated Hip-Hop then she wouldn’t have talked out the side of her neck and known it’s a multifaceted genre. She also wouldn’t just be gravitating toward conscious rap like it’s a new wave. But that’s a common misconception from visitors and pariahs.

Kick rocks, Miley. Peep her full spiel below.
