Remy Ma broke Nicki Minaj years-long streak of winning the BET Award for Best Female Rapper of the year and seemingly went at her neck during her acceptance speech.
Nicki Minaj has been winning the BET Awards’ Best Female Rapper of the Year trophy for the entire time she’s been rapping. Most of those years it was because she was the only woman making relevant rap music, but this year she actually had some stiff competition with artists like Cardi B, Young MA and her arch nemesis Remy Ma being nominated as well.
While Nicki is still undoubtedly the most popular woman rapping right now, Remy did make a strong case to win the award and she was given it on Sunday night. During her acceptance speech, she added more flames to a beef that doesn’t appear to be ending anytime soon. Without saying her name Remy spat bars about rappers getting “*ss shots” and other augmentations to get ahead.
