Lil Duval has always been one to speak his mind often at the cost of political correctness. The comedian was a guest last week on Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club and made a transphobic comment which has Black Twitter on attack mode.

Duval was flanked by Charlamagne Tha God and Angela Yee with DJ Envy facing him in the show’s usual seating format. During a segment of the interview that spoke about recent dating news regarding the trans community, Lil Duval suggested that if he were to discover he was dating a trans woman that she would have to “die,” which Twitter seized on immediately.

Among Twitter’s top trending topics is the comedian’s name, with many users taking shots at his insensitive comment. The trans community has already voiced some of the more serious concerns of Duval’s comments, with others rallying around decrying the violent root of his statement.
