This news will provide no comfort to Mobb Deep fans. The official cause of Prodigy’s death has been listed as accidental choking, on an egg.
TMZ reports that although the “Quiet Storm” rapper was in the hospital being treated for a recent flare up of his sickle cell anemia, the Clark County Medical Examiner determined it was the choking that caused his death.
The beloved rapper’s funeral attracted who’s who of the Hip-Hop world while fans continue to mourn his passing on June 20.
Prodigy was just 42-years-old. Rest in power.
