Ever since jumping unto the national spotlight the Ball family have been subjected to much criticism (some warranted, much not). Whether it was baby Ball’s epic fail mixtape, big bro Ball’s taste in rap music, or papa Ball’s ambitious/obnoxious ways of going about his business, the Ball family have garnered lots of love and hate during their quick ascension to fame.
But none of those things stopped Jay-Z from supporting a Black family’s attempt to get a piece of the pie on their own.
In a recent interview with Rap Radar, Jay copped to purchasing three pairs of the ridiculously priced and much criticized Lonzo Ball ZO2 sneakers but complained he never got them (no one has from what we know).
TMZ caught up with Lonzo Ball in LA and asked him about Jay’s comments to which he replied “Thank you. I appreciate it.” When asked if Hov would get his pairs early Lonzo simply said, “They drop in November.” Okay, then.
We’re just wondering how many pairs of the ZO2’s 21 Savage purchased. Just sayin’.
