It’s been a long road back to respectability for the embattled Philly rapper known as Meek Mill.

After a few hard years of basically being a punchline for haters and Drake fans, Meek’s been making the rounds with new music and a new perspective on life and it’s been going well for him.

This time around the MMG artist goes sneaker shopping with Complex’s Joe La Puma and opens up about Allen Iverson being his role model, New Balance being the choice sneakers for hustlers who needed comfort for posting up all day, and moving past his Puma days saying “We don’t really get down with it no more. We moved on… we like adidas, New Balance still, Nike, Fila.”

When it was all said and done, Meek dropped $3,900 on some Jordans, Dunks, Supreme Air Max’s and workmen gloves. Straight cash, homie.
