Meek Mill has gotten the support of big names such as Jay-Z and others who have been critical of the recent sentencing the rapper was handed down in his probation violation case. Organizers have announced a rally that will take place Monday evening (Nov. 13) protesting the sentence in Meek’s hometown of Philadelphia.

This new effort, coupled with a “Justice For Meek” online petition aimed at Gov. Tom Wolf that was published last week, the support for Meek Mill’s has been growing in number culminating in the announcement of the rally. The rally will take place at 5PM ET at the Criminal Justice Center with Waka Flocka Flame. Big Sean, and Philadelphia Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins promoting the rally via their Instagram pages. Fellow Philadelphia Freeway announcing he will be attending and speaking at the event, and NBA legend Julius “Dr. J” Erving is slated to attend.

The case has taken new turns after statements from Meek’s lawyer alleged that the judge in the matter operated with a vendetta against Meek after an earlier run-in where Meek allegedly was asked to leave his Roc Nation management team to join the team of a friend to the judge.

The hashtags #Justice4Meek, #FreeMeekMill, and #Rally4Meek have all been aligned with the rally.
