It’s officially Star Wars season and OnePlus is celebrating by launching a special edition version of their 5T smartphone.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is just days away and Disney has been reminding us through their powerful merchandising. Tech company, OnePlus decided they want in on the Star Wars parade and pulled the cover off their Last Jedi inspired 5T.

First teased at Bengalaru Comic Con in India, the new phone now has a release date of December 14th, right before the film’s theatrical release. The Last Jedi version of the 5T adds to the 5T’s already very attractive design.

The phone itself looks like something First Order members would be given as a company phone. It features a very First Order theme with a red ring/silent switch which was likely inspired by Kylo Ren’s red lightsaber. The phone also comes pre-loaded with a First Order Stormtrooper wallpaper.

To cap it off, the iconic Star Wars logo perfectly graces the back of the phone. Now, heres the catch, the phone is only available in India.

Bummer!

Now that doesn’t mean there isn’t a chance the phone will see life here in the States as well. Of course, the The Last Jedi 5T is limited edition so you gotta be swift if you plan on grabbing one.

This isn’t the first time Star Wars had a special smartphone released to coincide with a films release. The last Start Wars opus, Rogue One also had a limited edition phone released through Japan’s Softbank.

The 5T is originally priced at a very reasonable $499 on their website. No word whether this model will cost slightly more due to it’s limited availabilty. As a Star Wars groupie myself would be nice if Apple or Samsung did the same with one of their flagship devices.

Just saying of course.

Well if you want to learn more about OnePlus and the 5T head to their website. To see the The Last Jedi 5T in motion checkout the video below.
