Ne-Yo is often spotted with his mother H. Loraine Smith who proudly poses with him for photo ops.
The new grandmother to his baby daughter is said to be Ne-Yo’s source of inspiration and he tells USA Today,
“She is the strongest woman on the face of the planet. I’ve seen her go through unimaginable obstacles, and you would never know she had a bad day in her life. “I know this will sound really clichéd, but I need a woman like my mom. That’s what Miss Independent is about – a woman that can achieve anything, despite whatever.”
