Rick Ross is speaking on reports that he’s signed rapper Wale to his Maybach Music group label.

Rumors hit the net this weekend that the D.C. rapper ditched his deal at Interscope to join the Bawse and Triple C’s at his Def Jam imprint.

While Wale has yet to speak officially on his reported signing, Rick Ross revealed in an interview with The Source that he’s working on not only signing Wale but rapper Meek Millz as well.

Source’s ‘Man Of The Year’ tells the mag,

We just brought Jah Cure to the team. That’s one of the biggest reggae superstars in the game. We just did a deal with that. Look for that first quarter. I’m talking to artist out of Philly that I think is the future of Philly. Meek Millz, I’m talking to him right now about Maybach Music. As well as I’m talking to Wale.”

According to Ross, Wale is a “slick talking n*gga” and he’ll be a perfect fit for his Maybach music team.

“Wale is a hustler. I feel he’s one record away from being the next N***a,” The Husky Don forecasted. “He’s just a naturally fly N***a. Slick talking N***a. That’s right up my alley. I just think that comradery, riding with Rozay, it’ll mean that much more. I feel he’s one record away. As well as Meek Millz.”

Wale also spoke on his new moves with Ross on his Twitter page, telling fans,

“Maybach Music…new year, new sounds, new deal, same Olubawale. 2011 is gonna be beautiful, glory be to God.”

Wale is still signed to a management deal with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation.
